WASHINGTON D.C. (WFLA) — Rep. Kathy Castor (FL-14) is working to enhance value transparency for accommodations, motels, and inns.
Rep. Castor is introducing a bipartisan invoice, the Accommodations Charges Transparency Act of 2025, alongside Younger Kim (CA-40), Russell Fry (SC-07) and Kevin Mullin (CA-15).
The invoice prohibits unfair or deceptive worth promoting for short-term lodging. It will require listings to show the full and last worth of companies, disclosing all of the necessary and resort charges.
“Households shouldn’t should play a guessing recreation when planning a visit. Sneaky hidden charges are a burden. They drive up prices and depart households pissed off at checkout,” Rep.
