Legendary Mama Jennie’s Restaurant in Miami Shores to close after 54 years

MIAMI – Legendary Miami Shores restaurant Mama Jennie’s Restaurant will shut its doorways on Friday, after serving South Florida for greater than 54 years.

The restaurant homeowners introduced the closure in a post on social media on Tuesday.

The restaurant situated at 11720 NE 2nd Ave. in Miami has served up home made pizza and Italian specialties since 1971. Locals and regulars would go to for weeknight dinners, catered occasions and karaoke.

Mama Jennie’s nonetheless has yet another South Florida location, Mama Jennie’s Pizza West in Pembroke Pines.
