    Woman survives fall from I-4 bridge into St. Johns river

    ORLANDO, Fla. (WFLA) — A lady survived a fall from an Interstate 4 bridge in central Florida, partially, because of drone know-how.

    911 name audio obtained by NBC affiliate WESH documented the terrifying moments after the autumn.

    “I fell off the bridge, a automobile hit me, and I fell off the bridge,” the girl mentioned.

    She informed dispatchers their automobile was struck by a truck. A semi then collided with the truck, sending the girl into the water.

    She swam to a bridge help and pulled herself from the water.

    “We had been capable of fly the drone down, get an image of her, or a visible of her with the infrared digicam and thermal imaging, so we might ensure that she was nonetheless shifting and responding,” Seminole County Hearth Division Lt. Matt Lallathin mentioned.

    Since buying drones two years in the past, the division has used them for “surveying injury after a hurricane, discovering misplaced hikers within the woods, multifaceted response to issues,” Lallathin mentioned.

    Regardless of a 60-foot fall from the bridge, the girl survived with out main accidents.
