PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA)— A really hungry alligator was seen strolling throughout the road with a snack in its mouth.
The video exhibits an alligator crossing the street with a turtle in its mouth on the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee Nationwide Wildlife Refuge in Palm Seaside County.
In accordance with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the wildlife refuge is 145,188 acres with greater than 250 species of birds, 60 species of reptiles and amphibians, 40 species of butterflies, and 20 kinds of mammals.
The refuge is among the largest within the nation and was established in 1951.
Grownup alligators usually eat tough fish, snakes, turtles, small mammals, and birds, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Fee mentioned.
