    Texas man drowns on Venice Beach, police say

    VENICE, Fla. (WFLA) — Police are investigating after a person was seen strolling into the water on Venice Seashore and was later found mendacity face-down close to the shore.

    The Venice Police Division stated officers and hearth rescue responded to the seaside shortly earlier than 11 a.m. on Saturday after experiences of a drowning.

    Witnesses reported seeing the sufferer, 47-year-old Wesley Wilcox, place a bag within the sand and stroll into the water, VPD stated. He was alone on the time of the incident.
