    Suspect wanted for step-father’s murder now in custody

    PLANTATION, Fla. – Police in Plantation have arrested a person needed for homicide.

    Authorities said 28-year-old Haile Richards was wanted for the capturing demise of his step-father, 57-year-old Clayous “Paul” Peart, in November of 2024.

    The capturing occurred in a house alongside the 7000 block of West Dawn Boulevard.

    On the time, police stated Richards took off in his mom’s automobile, which he crashed alongside the 6500 block of West Dawn Boulevard, earlier than fleeing on foot.

    Authorities haven’t revealed how they have been capable of apprehend Richards.

    He was booked into the Broward County Jail on Wednesday night.

    Police charged him with first diploma homicide and premeditated homicide.
