FLORIDA KEYS, Fla. (WFLA) — A person reportedly jumped from the Seven Mile Bridge whereas trying to flee from Florida Freeway Patrol on Tuesday.
Round 2:32 p.m., FHP tried to cease the person throughout a site visitors cease. The suspect was later recognized as a ordinary site visitors offender, in line with FHP.
The person jumped from the bridge however was picked up by a Sheriff’s Workplace Center Keys Marine Unit and transferred to FHP custody shortly after.
“I need to thank the Troopers and Deputies concerned in apprehending this repeat offender,” stated Sheriff Rick Ramsay. “This incident is a testomony to our partnership with the Florida Freeway Patrol whose presence in Monroe County is significantly appreciated.”
FHP is investigating.
