FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Sen. Rosalind Osgood praised the women and men of the Fort Lauderdale Police Division after a standoff ended with out harm.
A SWAT group negotiator labored to persuade a suspect to give up on Saturday in Fort Lauderdale’s Dorsey Riverbend neighborhood.
“Some folks determined to commit a housebreaking,” stated Osgood, a former College Board of Broward County chair.
In response to the police division, officers noticed a housebreaking suspect using a stolen scooter and adopted him at about 2 p.m.
“One of many suspects bumped into our neighborhood and barricaded himself right into a home,” Osgood stated.
The standoff was alongside Northwest Third Courtroom, between 17 and 18 Avenues. Osgood described the legislation enforcement officers as “great” and environment friendly.
