IMMOKALEE, Fla. (WFLA) — A pedestrian was killed after two autos struck them on Friday evening, in accordance with the Florida Freeway Patrol.
At 9:10 p.m., troopers responded to New Market Highway and Escambia Avenue in Immokalee.
In accordance with officers, the pedestrian was trying to cross the journey lanes of New Market Highway, stepping in entrance of a 41-year-old man, touring westbound in a van on that highway.
After the collision, a 70-year-old man in a sedan touring eastbound on New Market Highway additionally struck the pedestrian.
The pedestrian died on the scene of the crash.
The motive force of the van initially fled the scene however later returned. FHP mentioned their car was impounded.
