ORLANDO, Fla. (WFLA) — Passengers aboard a Frontier flight from Florida feared “the top” after the airplane’s wheel broke off throughout a tough touchdown on Tuesday night.
In line with Frontier, Flight 5306 from Orlando to San Juan skilled a tough touchdown upon arrival.
Melani González Wharton captured the view exterior the window from her seat, which confirmed an orange glow and sparks underneath the airplane.
González Wharton stated one of many tires within the entrance of the airplane broke off and caught hearth.
“For a couple of minutes, I believed it was the top of our story right here on earth. We have been touchdown, and the touchdown was very dangerous, aggressive, and at excessive velocity … All of it occurred proper at my window,” González Wharton wrote on Fb.
González Wharton’s video confirmed the airplane’s left entrance wheel lacking after the touchdown.
A spokesperson from Frontier advised WFLA.com that the plane landed safely and nobody was harm.
The incident is underneath investigation.
