JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Over 100 individuals from totally different communities gathered within the Pine Forest neighborhood to protest President Donald Trump’s immigration insurance policies on Sunday.

The protest was organized by the Jacksonville Immigrant Rights Alliance (JIRA).
The massive crowd was crammed with allies making it recognized that they’re in opposition to Trump’s immigration coverage that requires the mass deportation of anybody within the nation illegally.
The Related Press stated the Trump administration is allowing officers to arrest migrants at places like schools and churches.
Organizers on the rally stated it’s unjust.
“Immigrants have been the spine of this nation,” Monica Martinez, a member of JIRA stated. “We’re group members, we’re employees, we’re educators, we’re all the time contributing to our group, so we shouldn’t have mass deportations, as an alternative there needs to be some sort of immigrant reform.”
The group stated they hope to have extra occasions displaying the individuals’s solidarity and what uniting as a group can imply.
All of this comes a couple of days after Governor Ron DeSantis announced an agreement with the Florida Freeway Patrol and the Division of Homeland Safety that permits FHP troopers to “arrest and detain aliens making an attempt to unlawfully enter the USA.”
This settlement makes Florida one of many first states to totally combine state troopers into federal immigration efforts.
