    New Florida law requires restaurants to reveal 'hidden' fees

    TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A brand new Florida regulation would require eating places to disclose their “hidden” charges earlier than prospects dine in.

    The brand new regulation, signed into regulation by Gov. Ron DeSantis, would require restaurant house owners to inform prospects of computerized service fees, suggestions, or operational charges.

    Many eating places embrace gratuities or service fees for big events, however prospects instructed NBC affiliate WBBH that they’re usually unaware till the invoice arrives.

    Some prospects mentioned they have been charged a service payment, a preset tip, and have been nonetheless requested for a further tip.
