    Man accused of attempting to kidnap Miami-Dade student

    MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A 37-year-old man was arrested Thursday afternoon close to a faculty in northwest Miami-Dade after police mentioned he tried to kidnap a scholar, prompting a campus lockdown.

    Police mentioned the sufferer had simply gotten off her faculty bus and was strolling to choose up her youthful brother from Thomas Jefferson Biscayne Gardens Okay-8 Academy at 525 NW 147th St. when a person approached her.

    Officers with the Miami-Dade Faculties Police Division mentioned Paganini Keith Fleurantin adopted the lady, known as out to her and tried to seize her.

    Fearing for her security, police mentioned the lady ran again inside the college gates and known as her mom.

    Earlier than fleeing the scene, Fleurantin shouted, “You’ll come again,” in accordance with an arrest report.

    Officers responded shortly, putting the college on lockdown as they looked for the suspect.

    Police mentioned Fleurantin was apprehended inside 500 ft of the campus simply earlier than 3:15 p.m., the report acknowledged.

    The sufferer advised investigators she believed Fleurantin was making an attempt to “imprison her in opposition to her will,” police wrote within the report.

    Police didn’t disclose the sufferer’s age in Fleurantin’s arrest report.
