ORANGE PARK, Fla. – Jacksonville Reminiscence Gardens hosted its eighth annual Wreaths Throughout America Wreath-laying Ceremony to honor those that served the nation on Saturday.
At 11:35 a.m., the Clay County Sheriff’s Workplace, Leonard’s Specific and Mission BBQ Orange Park vehicles escorted the truck hauling the wreaths from St. Catherine’s Catholic Church to Jacksonville Reminiscence Gardens in Orange Park for the ceremony.
At midday, a second of silence was held for all of the ceremonies nationwide to recollect the fallen who served.
Ryan Hopkins attended the occasion to put wreaths for each his grandfathers and a great-grandfather. He stated he and his household have been popping out to the ceremony for about seven or eight years.
“We come out yearly, be certain we lay our wreaths after which we lay wreaths for anyone else who’s out right here on the cemetery,” Hopkins stated.
He stated this 12 months’s occasion was larger than the previous couple of years.
