    Former Disney World employee sentenced to 3 years in prison for hacking menus

    ORLANDO, Fla. (WFLA) — A former Disney World worker was sentenced to a few years in federal jail for hacking into Walt Disney World’s computer system to control menu data.

    In July 2024, Disney grew to become conscious of a former worker, Michael Scheuer, 40, accessing their menu system following his termination from the corporate a month prior, based on NBC affiliate WESH,.

    Scheuer, who labored for Disney as “Menu Product Supervisor,” was accused of hacking into their system over three months and manipulating menus in numerous ways in which included altering costs, including profanity, and altering the allergen data.
