    TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The Florida Division of Regulation Enforcement made the nation’s first arrest of a Tren de Aragua member underneath the Alien Enemies Act earlier this week.

    Donald Trump invoked the wartime legislation final weekend forward of the deportations of a whole bunch of suspected members of the Venezuelan gang.


    What is the Alien Enemies Act Trump invoked to speed deportations?

    Franklin Jose Jimenez-Bracho was arrested on Thursday and legislation enforcement officers stated he was wished for human trafficking, smuggling and was a part of one other ongoing investigation.

    In a put up on Fb, the FDLE stated the arrest was a collaborative effort between Homeland Safety Investigation, the Florida Freeway Patrol, ICE and the FBI.

    Todd Lyons, the appearing director of ICE, mentioned the arrest at a press convention in Orlando on Friday.

    “Tren de Aragua is a harmful international terrorist group that has invaded our soil,” he stated.

    Lyons additionally stated that previously 48 hours alone, 68 members of Tren de Aragua had been arrested within the U.S.


    Gov. DeSantis speaks on immigration at New College of Florida

    Governor Ron DeSantis, who spoke at roundtable on unlawful immigration earlier this week, praised the arrest on X.

    “As soon as once more, Florida leads the best way,” he wrote.
