    Florida man's cross necklace blocks bullet from piercing heart

    OCALA, Fla. (WFLA) — A Florida man who was shot within the chest credit a cross necklace for saving his life.

    Aidan Perry, 20, instructed NBC affiliate WESH his pal was exhibiting off a gun and by chance fired it.

    The bullet ricocheted off the golden necklace and have become lodged within the fatty tissue of his chest. Medical doctors stated the necklace saved his life, because it took a lot of the power of the bullet and slowed it down sufficient that it did not enter his chest.

    If he hadn’t been carrying the necklace, docs stated the bullet may have pierced his lungs or coronary heart.

    “I have a look at it as a lifesaver,” Perry instructed WESH. “I in all probability would not be speaking to you guys proper now.”

    Perry’s father, Aaron Perry, gave him the necklace final 12 months as a Christmas reward.

    “So many feelings,” Aaron Perry instructed WESH. “I do not need to say it was only a reward, but it surely got here from the guts.”

    Perry believes the necklace saving his life was a results of divine intervention.

    “I feel God performed an enormous position on this,” Aidan Perry instructed WESH. “I feel he is the explanation that I am nonetheless right here at the moment.”
