THE VILLAGES, Fla. (WFLA) — A Florida man was arrested early Sunday morning after a girl died following a fall from the golf cart he was driving.
Richard Allen Kell, 58, was driving the golf cart north on San Marino Drive at 12:49 a.m. when he swerved to keep away from a parked automobile, in accordance with the Florida Freeway Patrol.
His passenger, a 60-year-old girl from Norridge, Illinois, fell out of the golf cart and suffered severe accidents. She was taken to the hospital, the place she later died.
FHP stated Kell was impaired on the time of the incident and charged him with DUI manslaughter.
