    Florida Highway Patrol wins 'Best Looking Cruiser' contest in first-ever 3-peat

    TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The Florida Freeway Patrol has finished it once more.

    The company’s black and tan cruiser has been dubbed the “finest trying” in America for the third 12 months in a row. It is a historic win as no different state has gained three consecutive years in a row.

    The 2025 America’s Greatest Trying Cruiser Contest, placed on by the American Affiliation of State Troopers (AAST), drew a file 49 entries from companies throughout the U.S.

    The FHP’s successful photograph featured a black and tan Corvette cruiser set towards the backdrop of a Miami sundown. Town’s iconic skyline could possibly be seen within the distance.

    Troopers described the photograph as a “tribute to the power, power, and great thing about Florida — and a mirrored image of the satisfaction FHP takes in representing all corners of the state.”

    The competition kicked off on June 30 and was adopted by two weeks of intense on-line voting. Officers stated the FHP gained in “one of many closest finishes in contest historical past.”

    “This first-ever three-peat is a credit score to our staff’s creativity, our company’s mission, and the 1000’s of Floridians who rallied behind us as soon as once more,” stated FLHSMV Govt Director Dave Kerner.

    Florida’s successful photograph shall be featured on the duvet of the 2026 AAST America’s Greatest Trying Cruiser Calendar. The proceeds will go towards scholarships for the kids of state troopers nationwide.

    “This win is for everybody that participated — and for the general public, who profit every single day from robust partnerships and a shared dedication to public security,” stated FHP Colonel Gary Howze. “Thanks, Florida, for making historical past with us!”
