FORT MYERS, Fla. (WFLA) — Two autos had been stopped and their drivers arrested for reckless driving and road racing on Thursday in Lee County.
In accordance with Florida Freeway Patrol, at 7:56 p.m. troopers noticed a Cadillac and a Honda Civic headed east on State Street 82 close to Shawnee Street.
The troopers stated each autos had been racing at speeds that exceeded 100 mph.
Each autos had been stopped by FHP and the motive force of the Cadillac was recognized as Rafael Antonio Jimenez, 28, whereas the motive force of the Honda was recognized as Gustave E Louimat, 19.
In accordance with FHP, each drivers had been taken and booked into the Lee County Jail and charged with road racing and reckless driving. The autos had been put into “automobile jail” for 30 enterprise days as a consequence of a Florida Statute on road racing.
