KISSIMEE, Fla. (WFLA) — An argument over meals at a Checkers restaurant in Kissimmee led to a lethal capturing Wednesday.
NBC affiliate WESH reported that the capturing occurred on the widespread fast-food restaurant situated at 5780 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Freeway at 10:10 p.m.
Deputies stated the capturing occurred between a Checkers worker, Elijah Travis Mackey, 23, and a buyer recognized as Wesley Robertson.
A witness advised deputies that Mackey and the shopper obtained into an argument throughout which Robertson made a derogatory remark to Mackey.
Deputies stated that’s when Mackey reached into his waistband, pulled out a small handgun and shot Robertson within the chest.
Robertson was taken to Osceola Regional Medical Middle, the place he later died.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Workplace arrested Mackey and charged him with first-degree premeditated homicide with a firearm.
He was held with out bond.
As of Friday, Checkers was again open for enterprise.
