    Demonstrators protest against President Trump and Elon Musk throughout Tampa Bay

    TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Demonstrators took to the streets to protest Donald Trump and Elon Musk on Saturday, however it wasn’t the one occasion that happened within the Tampa Bay space.

    From Tampa to Lakeland, the “Arms Off” rallies had been organized to protest federal workforce and spending cuts that organizers say are impacting seniors and veterans.

    “I’m not alone in figuring out that there are many different individuals who really feel the identical means, and it is time to communicate up,” mentioned protester Ross Gottstein.

    1000’s blame Elon Musk and President Donald Trump.

    “I had a spouse who was a veteran. I’ve two daughters-in-law who’re veterans, certainly one of whom continues to be energetic within the army. I simply cannot consider we’re doing this to the individuals who have served us, the individuals who have protected us.”

    Demonstrators mentioned they’re standing up for democracy and sending a message to leaders in Washington to cease “DOGE.”

    “So I believe that these of us who’re sitting at house speaking to one another about how horrible issues are want to come back out and say one thing, as a result of if not, you realize, our elected officers aren’t actually doing it for us proper now,” one demonstrator mentioned.

    Some protesters concern that free speech has been threatened below the Trump administration. They do not agree along with his administration’s insurance policies to handle unlawful immigration.

    Some even mentioned there’s unfair remedy due to their faith.

    “I characterize Muslim People in our company, and we now have needed to suggest to everlasting residents and inexperienced card holders to not journey in any respect as a result of they’re being stopped by border safety. They’re being stopped by TSA. They’re being questioned, detained for hours on finish once they have each proper to be on this nation,” demonstrator Mary Marks mentioned.

    When requested in regards to the protests, in an e-mail to NBC Information, the White Home mentioned President Trump plans to guard Social Safety, Medicare, and Medicaid for many who are eligible.
