NAPLES, Fla. (WFLA) — The Collier County Sheriff’s Workplace mentioned it’s launching a demise investigation after a lacking youngster was discovered useless in a pond close to the household’s dwelling.
Deputies mentioned the household had not too long ago moved to their new residence on Magnolia Pond Circle and had been unpacking once they realized the kid, 5-year-old Jaylen Saintelien, was lacking at round 3:15 p.m. on Saturday.
The household instructed police that Saintelien was autistic and non-verbal, CCSO mentioned.
CCSO launched an intensive search of the world, together with help from patrol deputies, aviation groups, Okay-9 models, a dive group, marine patrol, EMS personnel and the Larger Naples Fireplace Division.
The kid’s physique was discovered Sunday morning in a pond close to the house, CCSO mentioned.
“We’re heartbroken for Jaylen’s household and we lengthen our gratitude to our fellow first responders and the numerous members of the neighborhood who assisted within the search,” the sheriff’s workplace wrote on Fb.
