FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WFLA) — A father and daughter have been rescued from the ocean after going overboard on a Disney Cruise Line voyage, passengers reported on social media.

The Disney Dream ship was sailing from the Bahamas to Fort Lauderdale on Sunday when the kid fell into the water for an unknown cause, as first reported by The Street.

Her father jumped into the water after her. Each passengers have been rescued and again on the ship “inside minutes,” based on a press release from Disney Cruise Line.

“The Crew aboard the Disney Dream swiftly rescued two friends from the water. We commend our Crew Members for his or her distinctive abilities and immediate actions, which ensured the protected return of each friends to the ship inside minutes. We’re dedicated to the security and well-being of our friends, and this incident highlights the effectiveness of our security protocols.”

    Disney Cruise Line assertion

The ship reportedly has plexiglass panels alongside the railings on the fringe of its decks, so it’s unclear how the woman managed to fall overboard.
