DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (WFLA) — A Florida officer struck a university scholar on a skateboard on Tuesday, sending the 19-year-old to the hospital.
The sufferer is a scholar at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical College in Daytona Seashore, the school confirmed to WFLA.com.
Based on the Florida Freeway Patrol, an officer in a marked Daytona Seashore police patrol automotive was touring southbound on Clyde Morris Boulevard within the outdoors lane, approaching Richard Petty Boulevard.
When the officer went via the intersection at a inexperienced gentle, the school scholar entered the crosswalk on his skateboard, failing to yield to the oncoming visitors.
