WASHINGTON – Funeral companies honoring former President Jimmy Carter, who died Sunday at age 100, can be held in Georgia and Washington, D.C., starting Saturday, Jan. 4, and concluding Thursday, Jan. 9.

SATURDAY, JAN. 4
The state funeral begins with the arrival of the Carter household at Phoebe Sumter Medical Heart in Americus, Georgia, at 10:15 a.m. Present and former Secret Service brokers will carry Carter’s stays to the hearse and stroll alongside the hearse because the motorcade departs from the medical heart.
