    Gator Bowl fever hits Jacksonville Beach as fans rally for Duke, Ole Miss

    JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. – Followers and alumni of Duke College and the College of Mississippi, generally often called Ole Miss, gathered in Jacksonville Seaside on Wednesday for pep rallies forward of the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl.

    The occasion attracted not solely devoted supporters but additionally beachgoers who joined within the festivities.

    Jacksonville Seaside was bustling with power as Duke and Ole Miss followers, together with mother and father, ready for the large sport. Amongst them was Danny Babel, who traveled from Tennessee to assist his daughter, a Rebelette for Ole Miss.

    “We’re staying downtown by the river stroll. We watched fireworks at midnight final evening, and we’re simply actually having fun with Jacksonville,” Babel mentioned.

    “It’s so nice as a result of we’ve got lifelong reminiscences right here. We journey to Jacksonville every year for the Fourth of July.     Each mother and father have been adamant about not lacking the sport, which their daughters are part of.

    Babel confirmed, “Oh, completely, yeah, we wouldn’t miss it.”

    “We’ll be there within the chilly, freezing with all of our heated gear on, able to cheer for our Blue Devils,” Twyman mentioned.

    The TaxSlayer Gator Bowl will happen at EverBank Stadium on Thursday evening. The beginning time is adjusted from 7:30 p.m. to eight:05 p.m. on account of adjustments to the Sugar Bowl following the lethal assault in New Orleans on New 12 months’s Day.
