In line with a spokesperson for Norwegian Cruise Line, the cruise ship discovered of a 51-year-old man going overboard at about 3 p.m. Thursday.
The cruise line stated the ship, the Norwegian Epic, was crusing from Ocho Rios, Jamaica, to Nassau, Bahamas, on the time.
“The authorities had been instantly notified, and a search and rescue operation beneath the steering and oversight of the Bahamas Rescue Coordination Heart went underway,” the cruise line spokesperson stated. “After an in depth search that was sadly unsuccessful, the ship was launched by the authorities to proceed its voyage.”
In line with officers, the person was touring with a big group, incluing his household.
“His household on board is being attended to and supported throughout this very difficult scenario,” the spokesperson stated. “Our ideas and prayers are together with his family members throughout this troublesome time.”
