    Taiwan reports 14 Chinese warships and 4 balloons near the island

    TAIPEI – China despatched 14 warships, seven navy plane and 4 balloons close to Taiwan between Saturday and Sunday, based on Taiwan’s Protection Ministry, as Beijing ramps up stress on the island it claims as its personal.

    China’s navy actions come amid hypothesis Beijing may arrange navy drills across the island in response to Taiwanese President Lai Ching-te’s recent visit to Pacific allies, together with U.S. stops in Hawaii and Guam.
