MARTIN COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — A 27-year-old girl was taken to a hospital after an alligator briefly pulled her underwater and bit her hand in a Florida river, the Martin County Sheriff’s Workplace stated.
The girl, her boyfriend and her canine took a ship out to the South Fork River close to Southwest Linden Avenue on Wednesday.
Martin County deputies stated when the lady was in waist-deep water along with her canine, the gator bit her hand and wrist and “momentarily pulled her beneath.”
After the gator let go of the lady, her boyfriend drove her to the boat ramp at Charlie Leighton Park, deputies stated.
The girl was flown to a hospital as a precaution. Her boyfriend and canine weren’t injured.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Fee responded to the scene to attempt to find the gator.
