    LAS VEGAS – NFL Corridor of Fame member Shannon Sharpe has resolved a lawsuit that accused him of sexually assaulting a woman throughout their relationship, her lawyer mentioned Friday.

    “All issues have now been addressed satisfactorily, and the matter is closed. The lawsuit will thus be dismissed with prejudice,” Tony Buzbee mentioned on X, that means the lawsuit cannot be refiled.

    No particulars have been launched. The lawsuit had sought $50 million.

    Sharpe referred to as the allegations “false and disruptive” when the lawsuit was filed in April in Clark County, Nevada. He stepped away from work at ESPN on the time however had pledged to return by the beginning of the NFL preseason.

    A telephone message searching for remark from Sharpe’s lawyer, David Chesnoff, wasn’t instantly returned Friday.

    The girl first met Sharpe at a gymnasium in Los Angeles in 2023 when she was 20, and a virtually two-year relationship adopted, based on the lawsuit. Sharpe, 57, was accused of raping the lady in October 2024 and in January.

    “Either side acknowledge a long-term consensual and tumultuous relationship,” Buzbee mentioned. “After protracted and respectful negotiations, I’m happy to announce that we’ve reached a mutually agreed upon decision.”

    Sharpe was a four-time All-Professional tight finish who performed on two Tremendous Bowl-winning groups with Denver and one with Baltimore over 14 seasons from 1990 to 2003. He was voted into the Professional Soccer Corridor of Fame in 2011.

    Sharpe retired because the NFL’s all-time chief amongst tight ends in receptions (815), yards receiving (10,060) and touchdowns (62). These information have been damaged.

    Sharpe has been a staple on TV and social media since retiring. He left FS1’s sports activities debate present “Undisputed” in 2023 and joined ESPN quickly afterward.
