    Tampa girls raise money to help Camp Mystic victims

    TAMPA, Fla., (WFLA) – A gaggle of ladies in Tampa spent their Saturday morning elevating cash to ship to victims in Texas.

    Emily Mifsud, Ellie Turner, Everly Turner, and Anna Mifsud all have the victims in Texas of their hearts and stated they wished to do what they may to assist, particularly these from Camp Mystic.

    “So, we’re elevating cash for the folks in Texas, from Camp Mystic, who misplaced their children within the flash flood. So, we’re attempting to lift as a lot cash as we will to assist them,” stated Emily Mifsud.

    The lemonade stand had a superb turnout, with buyer after buyer exhibiting as much as assist.

    “Everyone feels a variety of sympathy for these folks in Texas, so that they’re clearly like, ‘in fact I am going to assist.’ Some folks simply make donations, they do not even purchase lemonade,” Everly Turner stated.

    “The ladies actually need to help the American Pink Cross and Kerr County reduction fund, the place Camp Mystic is, to allow them to assist ship the cash and hopefully have an effect on the Camp and people explicit victims,” stated Christine Turner, one of many moms overseeing the stand.

    The ladies stated they had been already planning on doing a lemonade stand, however as soon as they noticed the devastating information out of Texas, they modified the place all of the donations had been going.

    “We all know that the cash we make shouldn’t be going to make a big impact, however we’re grateful we will make the little impression that we will,” Everly stated.

    “It feels good to know that we can assist their households,” stated Ellie.

    The complete neighborhood got here collectively to assist make the lemonade stand occur.

    “It actually, in fact, makes me so very proud and there was unanimous approval and enthusiasm from all the women within the neighborhood to see what they may do to hitch the lemonade stand, convey cookies, and do no matter they may to assist different folks, particularly households with little women who’ve been tragic victims,” Christine stated.

    Every cup they bought helped to make a distinction, even from states away.

    Christine Turner stated they plan to ship all the cash donated Saturday night.
