    Man sues Walt Disney World over Florida water slide's 'exhilarating speeds'

    ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — Walt Disney World is dealing with a lawsuit after a person was harm on a high-speed water slide at its Blizzard Seaside water park, in accordance with a grievance filed Thursday.

    The lawsuit claimed that the person, Eugene Strickland, had visited the water park in July 2021 to check out the Downhill Double Dipper slide.

    In response to the lawsuit, Strickland weighed about 334 kilos on the time, exceeding the slide’s weight restrict of 300 kilos.

    Nevertheless, Strickland received on the trip and “grew to become momentarily airborne on account of the trip’s ‘exhilarating speeds’ and design,” the lawsuit claimed.

    Strickland mentioned he forcefully landed onto the onerous plastic floor of the slide, struggling “everlasting catastrophic accidents.”

    He accused Walt Disney World of negligence and failing to keep up protected premises. He argued that Disney had a accountability to repair the water slide’s “harmful situations.”

    He’s asking for greater than $50,000 in damages, in accordance with the lawsuit.
