MIAMI, Fla. (WFLA) — Two Florida port employees have been arrested in reference to the theft of $50,000 price of cruise terminal paintings, based on the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Workplace.

In accordance with an arrest affidavit obtained by NBC affiliate WTVJ, Miami-Dade County custodial employees, Angel Prudhomme, 27, and Tangela Parks, 50, have been arrested on grand theft costs on Wednesday.

The sheriff’s workplace mentioned Prudhomme was caught on surveillance cameras eradicating paintings from the partitions in Terminal G earlier this month. Investigators mentioned he hid the paintings in a stairwell and trash cans whereas attempting to evade the cameras.

Prudhomme was later seen shifting the paintings with Parks and putting it in Parks’ automobile, based on the arrest report.

The sheriff’s workplace mentioned the pair took 24 mosaic and marble items, and half of them have been broken from being improperly eliminated.

After detectives recovered the paintings, Miami-Dade deputies mentioned Prudhomme and Parks admitted to stealing it and have been booked into jail.

“As Sheriff of Miami-Dade County, I take people utilizing their employment to steal very significantly. I’m dedicated to making sure that anybody concerned in dishonest actions shall be held accountable,” Miami-Dade Sheriff Rosie Cordero-Stutz mentioned in a press release to WTVJ.
