    'A revolt': DeSantis slams Republican leaders over dueling budget proposals

    NAPLES, Fla. (WFLA) — The feud between Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Republican leaders within the state Home of Representatives continued Tuesday.

    DeSantis had robust phrases for GOP management at a information convention on the Rookery Bay Pure Estuarine Analysis Reserve in Naples.

    DeSantis touted his administration’s efforts to preserve and restore the Everglades. He urged Florida lawmakers to “sustain the momentum” by approving his proposed finances.

    The governor stoked tensions with lawmakers within the Republican-dominated Florida Home of Representatives, noting that their proposed finances consists of much less funds allotted for restoration tasks.

    “Loads of the explanation they’re doing it’s as a result of the management within the Florida Home of Representatives has taken a place that if I’m for one thing, then it’s their view to only oppose us, simply in a knee-jerk vogue,” DeSantis stated.  

    DeSantis stated what the Home is doing “just isn’t proper.”

    “Their complete agenda actually represents a revolt in opposition to the voters who despatched them there,” DeSantis stated.

    Florida Division of Environmental Safety Secretary Alexis Lambert and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Fee Government Director Roger Younger additionally appeared on the information convention.
