    FSU senior leaves police heartfelt note in aftermath of shooting

    TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WFLA) — A senior at Florida State College left Tallahassee police a heartfelt notice over the weekend, thanking them for risking their lives after a gunman opened fire on campus.

    The Tallahassee Police Division shared the notice with the general public Monday in a social media post that highlighted the affect of the scholar’s sort phrases.

    It “reminded us why we do what we do,” the police division wrote.

    Officers rushed to FSU on the morning of Thursday, April 17, after 911 calls began flooding in reporting an lively shooter on campus. It took less than five minutes earlier than police discovered the suspect and shot him after he refused their instructions.

    Tallahassee Police Chief Lawrence Revell called the response an “extraordinary instance of teamwork and professionalism is the face of a horrific occasion.”

    Two meals service employees, Tiru Chabba and Robert Morales, have been killed, and six others were injured within the capturing.

    Many college students described their immense grief and trauma within the aftermath. However amid the tragedy, one pupil wrote that the actions of regulation enforcement that day “didn’t go unnoticed.”

    “Thanks for risking your life on Thursday, April 17. As college students at Florida State, we’re so grateful on your bravery and braveness. Your actions didn’t go unnoticed,” the notice supplied to Tallahassee police learn. “We hope you take pleasure in these cookies as a small token for our everlasting gratitude.”

    It was signed “Senior at FSU” and left with a field of cookies. Police replied with their very own message to the FSU group on Fb.

    “It is unimaginable what college students, school, and workers skilled that day,” the police division wrote. “To the FSU group: Our hearts and prayers stay with you. We’re HERE for you. We stand with you. All the time.”
