TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WFLA) — Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis ordered flags to fly at half-staff after a gunman opened fireplace on the campus of Florida State College on Thursday.
Police in Tallahassee stated a 20-year-old gunman, who’s the stepson of a sheriff’s deputy, killed two people and wounded six others within the assault.
In a memo, DeSantis instructed U.S. and State of Florida flags to fly half-staff “in reminiscence of the lives misplaced on this tragedy and to acknowledge the bravery proven by the primary responders.”
The 2 individuals killed have been identified as food service employees.
A spokesperson for Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare said in a statement Friday that two of the six injured sufferers are anticipated to be discharged from the hospital. Three capturing victims’ circumstances are bettering, whereas one other remained “in honest situation.”
