    Florida business owner accused of selling human bones on Facebook Marketplace: police

    ORANGE CITY, Fla. (WFLA) — A enterprise proprietor in Volusia County was arrested Thursday for getting and promoting human bones on Fb Market.

    In accordance with NBC affiliate WESH, Orange Metropolis police obtained phrase again in December 2023 that Kymberlee Schopper, 52, was promoting numerous human bones by her enterprise, Depraved Wonderland, positioned at 2461 N. Volusia Ave.

    Orange Metropolis police advised reporters that in an investigation, they discovered six human stays listed on the web site for the enterprise, together with a human rib, a human clavicle, a scapula, a human vertebra, two human cranium fragments, and a partial human cranium.

    Orange County detectives spoke with the co-owner of Depraved Wonderland, who mentioned they had been unaware it was unlawful and that the store had been promoting human stays for a number of years.

    The bones had been collected and submitted as proof to the health worker’s workplace in Daytona Seaside, based on WESH.

    Experiences discovered the fragments got here from two totally different folks and had each archaeological and anatomical origins.

    Buying and selling in human tissue is a second-degree felony within the state of Florida.

    After questioning the enterprise proprietor, Volusia County information confirmed that Schopper was launched Friday on a $7,500 bond.
