    Florida Rep. slams 'government-funded kidnapping program' after UF student is detained by ICE

    WASHINGTON, D.C. (WFLA) — A Florida Consultant is looking out President Donald Trump and his administration for operating a “government-funded kidnapping program” following ICE’s current detainment of a College of Florida pupil.

    In a press release launched Monday, Congressman Maxwell Frost (FL-10) referred to as Trump’s administration merciless for going after the school pupil, whose household hasn’t heard from since April 1.

    Felipe Zapata Velasquez, 27, is a third-year worldwide pupil at UF and is within the States on an F-1 visa. In keeping with courtroom data, Zapata Velasquez was pulled over by Gainesville Police on March 28 for driving with a suspended license, attaching a license plate or state not lawfully assigned and driving with an expired automobile registration. Rep. Frost stated he was later arrested and detained by ICE.

    Zapata Velasquez was taken to the Krome Detention Middle in Miami-Dade the place he awaits deportation orders in “hell on Earth,” Rep. Frost described.

    “Donald Trump and ICE are operating a government-funded kidnapping program,” he added. “Exhibiting up in unmarked vans, with plain garments officers, they’re kidnapping folks off the streets and jailing them inside detention facilities with out due course of and with little trigger.”

    The Congressman argued that Trump is the one prison accountable on this state of affairs, claiming the president is harming the American folks and making residents imagine deporting each immigrant will clear up the nation’s issues.

    “Donald Trump ran on the promise of deporting violent criminals and gang members. As an alternative we’ve seen him kidnap and detain Americans, authorized visa holders like Felipe, and anybody who has spoken out towards this Administration,” Rep. Frost stated.

    The democrat concluded his assertion by saying he would use each software at his disposal to carry the Trump administration accountable.
