    Road rage may have led to shooting at Florida Publix, deputies say

    POINCIANA, Fla. (WFLA) — Deputies are investigating a capturing at a Publix grocery retailer that they stated could also be linked to a highway rage incident.

    The capturing occurred on Sunday at a Poinciana Publix, positioned at 841 Cypress Parkway.

    Detectives consider the capturing was an remoted incident, doubtless stemming from highway rage within the retailer’s parking zone.

    Witnesses informed NBC affiliate WESH that the incident turned violent when a driver grew annoyed with one other driver, who felt he was blocking him in.

    That is when the person accused of doing the blocking jumped out of his automobile and fired pictures.

    The incident resulted in gunfire and shattered home windows, as vehicles frantically making an attempt to go away the scene started crashing into one another.

    “Folks hiding behind the vehicles … chaos, as a result of no person knew what was occurring,” witness Frank Savinon informed WESH.

    A chiropractor’s workplace within the plaza was struck by the gunfire, as Savinon, who works on the liquor retailer subsequent door, informed his prospects to take cowl.

    “We locked the door, informed everyone to get right down to the bottom, and we waited for all the things to get quiet,” he informed WESH. “They have been saying ‘What is going on on… what’s taking place?'”

    The suspect, who reportedly fled the scene proper after, continues to be being sought.

    WESH reported that nobody was injured or killed in the course of the capturing.
