PLANTATION, Fla. – Donnamarie Myers described herself on Zillow as a “Actual Property Diva.” However authorities accuse the Plantation lady of being an actual property deceiver.
Myers, 53, is accused of netting almost $200,000 from a house rental and buying rip-off that she carried out after her actual property license was revoked in March 2021 after complaints from “victims and actual property brokers.”
State data present she’s had 5 complaints for “unlicensed exercise” since. Authorities stated that unlicensed exercise is what landed her behind bars on 4 felonies Thursday.
Based on an 11-page arrest affidavit, a full seven of which had been redacted by Broward prosecutors, citing, partly, “lively legal intelligence and lively legal investigation data,” Plantation police had been notified of “a number of instances” involving Myers.
Plantation Police Division investigators stated Myers was performing as an agent to “facilitate” the rental and buy of houses and was amassing deposits.
“Myers requested that the victims ship her funds through wire switch, money, CashApp, Apple Money, Zelle and/or Venmo,” a detective wrote within the Feb. 14 affidavit. “Myers assured all of those victims that their funds can be deposited into escrow accounts towards the rental/buy of a house, nevertheless, these funds went to her private accounts, not Escrow accounts as is the right process when working with a Realtor.”
Police stated the victims had been by no means capable of lease or purchase the houses and “haven’t been reimbursed for his or her funds misplaced.”
