TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Firefighters efficiently rescued a canine that was caught in a “harmful scenario” close to a Florida river earlier this week.
The Sumter County Hearth and Emergency Companies stated it acquired a number of calls from involved boaters within the Jumper Creek Wildlife Administration Space on the Withlacoochee River round 9:30 a.m. on Sunday.
A canine, who was later recognized as “Blackie,” obtained his collar and leash tangled in a tree and was unable to free himself from the water’s edge.
An animal management officer responded and tried to achieve Blackie by land. Nonetheless, the makes an attempt failed and rescuers realized the one approach to attain the canine was by boat.
Firefighters with Sumter County Hearth & EMS had been referred to as in and launched two boats to Blackie’s location. The staff fastidiously freed Blackie from his entangled leash and introduced him again to land.
Firefighters stated Blackie was “miraculously unhurt” and had been lacking for a couple of week. After his microchip was scanned, his proprietor was contacted and shortly arrived for an emotional reunion.
