Kimberly Statum, 60, set Lee Payne, 67, on hearth in November, police say
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Workplace said it has arrested a 60-year-old woman for murder and arson after she was accused of setting a 67-year-old man on hearth in Jacksonville’s Northside about 4 months in the past.

JSO stated Kimberly Statum was arrested in November 2024 for tried homicide after officers discovered Lee Payne with “extreme burns” inside a house on Alexandria Drive.
Payne was taken to a Gainesville burn unit for remedy, however died from his accidents in December.
“After presenting the proof and details of the investigation to our companions on the State Legal professional’s Workplace, officers arrested Statum for Homicide and Arson,” JSO stated. “We are going to proceed to work with the State Legal professional’s Workplace on this case to deliver justice to Payne’s family members.”
