KEY WEST, Fla. (WFLA) — Storms introduced file rainfall to the Decrease Florida Keys Monday, prompting Flood Advisories as flood waters encroached on roads, companies and houses.
Movies taken in Key West confirmed drivers traversing the flooded roads as water coated each inch of the pavement and past.
The rainfall appeared to peak round mid-day.
Meteorologists with NBC 6 South Florida mentioned most places within the Keys recorded a 3rd to an inch and a half of rain.
In the meantime, elements of Key West reported totals of as much as almost 9 inches.
The earlier every day rainfall file on the Key West Worldwide Airport was 1.62 inches in 1892.
Monday’s rainfall smashed that file with 3.13 inches recorded on the airport.
