FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The canine dubbed “Trooper” after being discovered by Florida Freeway Patrol trooper throughout Hurricane Milton evacuations in October had surgical procedure in Fort Lauderdale this week to take away “materials” from his abdomen.
In accordance with a post on social media, Frank Spina, Trooper’s proprietor, stated a scan on the veterinarian’s workplace confirmed he had greater than two kilos of rubbish in his abdomen. It included plastic, rubber and steel.

Spina’s household adopted Trooper in December 2024.
