    Police identify man accused of fatally beating 2 homeless people in Miami

    MIAMI (AP) — Miami police have recognized the person accused of killing two homeless people and injuring two others in an unprovoked assault.

    Brenton Clarke, 36, of Inwood, New York, was arrested shortly after the Thursday morning assault, officers stated. He has no arrest historical past in Miami however does have an arrest historical past for minor offenses in New York, Miami police stated.

    “It is a horrible incident,” Morales stated. “The officers on the scene and the Miami Police Division is appalled at this show of unprovoked violence.”

    Clarke is being held with out bond on the Miami-Dade jail. He is been charged with two counts of first-degree homicide, two counts of tried first-degree homicide and armed theft with a lethal weapon.
