    TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WFLA) — 4 individuals have been sentenced in connection to a string of state park burglaries on Thursday.

    In line with Florida’s Legal professional Basic’s Workplace, the investigation into the burglaries started in 2022 after ranger stations at quite a few state parks in North Florida have been burglarized for gear, cash, and merchandise.

    The parks additionally reported cases of vandalism and theft of cash from honor containers posted close to park entrances, the place guests would deposit their each day charges.

    The Legal professional Basic’s Workplace arrested the 4 people, who pleaded responsible to racketeering, conspiracy to commit racketeering, illegal use of a two-way communications gadget, and armed housebreaking. Their names and sentences are as follows:

    • Chandler Parrish Ellison was sentenced to 12 years in jail.
    • Alyssa Brewer was sentenced to eight years in jail.
    • Kayly Burns was sentenced to seven years in jail.
    • Aaron Higgins was sentenced to 11 years in jail.
