    14 arrested in 'Travel to Gavel' operation targeting internet predators: VSO

    VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — Fourteen males have been arrested after a 3-day undercover operation that focused web predators, the Volusia Sheriff’s Workplace introduced.

    The lads concerned within the undercover operation “Journey to Gavel” thought they have been messaging 13 to 15-year-old girls and boys.

    One of many males arrested, a 25-year-old from Ocala, was additionally charged with aggravated battery, assault on a regulation enforcement officer, aggravated fleeing with damage, and resisting arrest with violence after accelerating this automobile right into a deputy and fracturing his leg.

    One other arrest was a 45-year-old from North Carolina who was on trip together with his girlfriend and three youngsters, the Volusia Sheriff’s Workplace mentioned.

    Others arrested are:

    • Carlos George Guebara, 51, DeLand
    • Kenneth Leon Baldwin Jr., 39, Daytona Seashore
    • Thomas Edward McKee, 39, Port Orange
    • Patrick James Concree, 40, Kissimmee
    • Francisco Javier Jurado, 33, Orange Metropolis
    • Robert Scott Shipley Jr., 26, Vero Seashore
    • Joseph Alan Williamson, 55, Port Orange
    • Joshua Lee Walker, 45, Lexington, N.C.

    The operation was a joint effort from VSO and the North Florida Web Crimes Towards Youngsters Process Power, Port Orange Police Division, South Daytona PD, Lake Metropolis Police Division-Lcflapd, Marion County Sheriff’s Workplace, FDLE, and State Lawyer, Florida’s seventh Circuit.
